This is the one that captures me. Ortus. It’s the light I think I find so mesmerizing … or maybe the darkness, the shadows … the quality of the light itself; firelight perhaps. The palette singes the background with the drama of a burning forest of color. The inanimate sky breathes with life, while the living subject is suspended, locked … the mouth vulnerable, but the eyes impenetrable, something colder than empty. And yet beautiful. It is a magnificent painting.

Never Before Seen
Jane is an artist, so of course, dramatic!  To add a little flair to this gallery, we waited for the paint to dry before scanning this picture.  The painting itself, has never been seen by anyone but Jane, her husband and her cat at the time of this posting.  Not even the subject, Kelly Miller-Lopez of Woodland Productions has touched the canvas.  A special gift to Realms of Fantasy Website visitors from Jane Starr Weils.
